Packing 101: Everything You Need For Your Next Flight

When packing for a flight, it's important to bring everything you need to be comfortable during your trip. Here are 10 things that we never travel without:

  • Toiletries: Pack your toiletries in a clear, quart-sized bag to comply with TSA regulations. Be sure to include items like toothpaste, deodorant, and any medications you might need. As for carry on toiletries, I love Loop Face Masks, Dieux Forever Eye Masks, Summer Fridays Jet Lag Mask, Rhode Lip Treatment and a Silk Sleep Mask (DND). Don't forget hand sanitizer. I'm sure you have a few extra lying around from 2020.
  • Travel documents: Don't forget to bring your passport, boarding pass, and any other important documents you'll need during your trip. I love to keep mine in a Passport Document case so that everything is organized and in one place.
  • Electronics: Bring any electronic devices you might need, such as a laptop, phone, or camera. Don't forget to bring chargers and adaptors as well.
  • Downloaded Media: On the topic of electronics, make sure to download a few playlists, podcasts and movies. Nothing worse then WiFi faulting out and nothing to listen to/watch to. Speaking from experience...
  • Snacks: Bringing snacks with you on your flight can help keep you energized and satisfied during your journey. Currently loving Hu Kitchen chocolate, The Hampton Popcorn company, Tate's Cookies, Smart Sweets and HipPeas.
  • A book Reading more.. This is a 2023 resolution for me, anyone else? Would love any book recommendations. On the Colleen Hoover train, for now.
  • A comfy hoodie: A must. Plane temps fluctuate so significantly that I always find myself chilly at points throughout the flight. A comfortable sweatshirt can also double as a pillow/blanket. We love Talentless & Elwood Clothing for a worn in vintage feel.
  • Compression Socks: Especially for long and international flights, compression socks help to maintain blood flow and decrease swelling. Your feet will thank me later.
  • Headphones: Pack a pair of headphones so you can listen to music or watch movies during your flight. I just got the AirPods Max Pro, and yes they are worth the hype. Outside of the design aesthetic and superb listening quality, the noise cancelling feature makes me forget that I am in-flight at all.
  • Throwing Doubles Travel Backgammon Board: The rolled design allows you to pack your board in your carry-on comfortably. Taking up less space than a water bottle and fitting perfectly on your tray table, this is a travel must.
